Thank you Veterans. We are FREE because of your sacrifices. I’ll never know the crisis you faces or the battles you fought. But I do know my gratitude 💕

Much of World War I was formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, when the Armistice with Germany went into effect. At the urging of major U.S. veteran organizations, Armistice Day was renamed Veterans Day in 1954.

Last night, I voted down 4G cell towers in Napa. I voted for families. I voted for our kids. I voted for us. I was elected by you to do the right thing and to me, this was the right thing. The best thing. The only way to vote. From my research, every tower emits radio frequency that could cause cancer - I voted NO. I voted my heart for families & kids. We would all be better off to trudge thru shag carpets and change the TV channel.

Verizon wants to put 500 of these small cell towers in Napa then Sprint wants 500 and and and. We have an insatiable appetite for faster speed and more technology. We want Driverless cars. Drones. Tablets. Laptops. TV's with internet, you name it. We've made this beast of technological demands. We need to slow down and back off technology. It is driving a wedge between us and each other. Families not talking but texting. Go to a restaurant - everyone is on a phone or tablet. No more talking to each other.

It was an emotional meeting last night at City Council! And NO - Verizon is not the bad guy. Stop right now.

Verizon is a business that is feeding the beast called technology. If there is a bad guy - it is you and me. We are the ones demanding faster! We demand parallel operations - it is us that has a lap top, computer, tablet and want enough 4G and 5G and 11G(?) to run all of that at nano speed. Verizon is just the grocery store offering to sell us more of what we want.

We want life to be a finger-touching world. Need dinner? Grub Hub. Need a ride? Uber. We are the hungry ones.

The Yellow Pages had it right 40 years ago,
🎶 “Let your fingers do the walking . . ." 🎶

Big corporations (Verizon) are simply the local grocery store for our insatiable appetite!

Big tobacco said it is SAFE. And finally, they caved and said, “well u might get cancer” 😡 (40% of all cancers come from tobacco - Tobacco use is the leading preventable cause of cancer and cancer deaths. It causes more than lung cancer — based on current evidence, it can cause cancers of the mouth and throat, voice box, esophagus, stomach, kidney, pancreas, liver, bladder, cervix, colon and rectum, and a type of leukemiahttps://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2016/p1110-vital-signs-cancer-tobacco.html

Monsanto said RoundUp is safe. Now? No, it's not safe and people are dying from cancer 😡 (A federal jury has awarded $80 million to a California man after determining that Monsanto's popular weedkiller, Roundup, was a substantial factor in causing his cancer, and that the corporation is liable. www.cnn.com/2019/03/27/health/monsanto-roundup-verdict/index.html)

The gov't said Agent Orange is harmless and our men in Vietnam Nam used it. Now? They are sick 😡 (Up to four million people in Vietnam were exposed to the defoliant. The government of Vietnam says as many as 3 million people have suffered illnesses because of Agent Orange. The Red Cross of Vietnam estimates that up to 1 million people are disabled or have health problems as a result of Agent Orange contamination. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agent_Orange)

Vaping - oh it's safe! 37 kids died, one in Napa. It's not safe 😡 (patch.com/california/napavalley/first-case-vaping-related-lung-injury-reported-napa-county)

Tobacco, Round Up, Agent Orange - always using humans as guinea pigs. Then in 40 years - ooops we are sorry 😡 Products should be tested for 40 years to understand the long-term effects. Big corporations are in a rush to roll out new, bigger, better everything! Why? Because WE want it. We are the ones that demand more – big corporations give us what we want, what we are willing to pay for with our lives! #GetErDoneNapa
